Welcome to Season 2024!
We're excited to get things underway. Below is a form for you to complete to register player interest for your child for the season. Before completing, please read the following information.
Please submit this form by Thursday 8th February.
There are 4 age groups in Junior Netball.
11 & Under - Born 2013/2014 - Play Tuesday nights (predominantly in Geelong)
13 & Under - Born 2011/2012 - Play Friday nights (Geelong) or Saturdays (BFNL) depending on division.
15 & Under - Born 2009/2010 - Play Friday nights (Geelong) or Saturdays (BFNL) depending on division.
17 & Under - Born 2007/2008 - Play Friday nights (Geelong) or Saturdays (BFNL) depending on division.
All teams are part of the Ocean Grove Football Netball Club and wear the club uniform.
There are no trials for 11& Under. All other age groups will be holding trials. Further information is further down in the form.
Season Dates
Saturday teams start playing: March 30 (Easter Saturday)
Tuesday night teams start: April 16
Friday night teams start: April 19
Costs Involved
There are costs Involved in playing for the club. These are:
1. Netball Victoria Membership - This covers insurance and every player must have this membership prior to trials. Please register via these links:
*Players who are participating in summer for a different club to winter should hold off registering for winter until their summer competitions commitments have finished up.*
2. Ocean Grove Football Netball Club Membership - $185 (for first child, a 10% discount is offered for siblings) This will be done via PlayHQ - the platform used by AFL Barwon for game day and team information including fixtures and section ladders. There are extra charges of about $10 to cover admin costs external to the club. Club membership can be paid now but is not due until team training commences.

Sample sizes will be available to try on following our information sessions in February.
The supplier for the uniform has changed and an inclusive uniform introduced, so either a dress or club approved shorts/leggings can be worn this season. Please note that the existing dress is still perfect. The design is not changing, only the supplier.
The club has a payment plan option for families that need it for registration and/or membership. Please email juniorgrubbers@gmail.com to utilise this option. Correspondence will be handled confidentially.
Club Participation
Throughout the season it is a requirement that families assist with the running of the broader club, helping in the canteen, at club dinners, or with other tasks. In general you will be needed once or twice for a couple of hours during the season. This is managed within age groups and requests for volunteering will be sent through team managers. It is also an expectation that parents/guardians fulfil their rostered team duty of scoring and possibly primary caring. Volunteers at our club require a current Working With Children Check.
